A work by Christophe Constantin is a conceptual overthrow, tending to overcome the idea of 20th century’s ready-made. It destroys the principle of decontextualization with a lot of irony, emphasizing the attempt to recontextualize it. That is, questioning the reality of the viewer bringing it back to its everyday life. The Italian-Swiss artist transmits, with his production, a strong impression of déjà-vu. Using any product of contemporary society, it plays to represent the real with cynicism and self-derision. He uses the various media and makes them talk about what they are and carry. This creates a post-product copy / paste. A walk in theown banality. Constantin depicts non-spectacularization, representing the common reality.

A l’intérieurs d’un travail de Christophe Constantin se trouve un renversemment conceptuel, il tend à dépasser l’idée avant-gardiste de ready-,ade. Il détruit avec une bonne dose d’ironie les principes de décontextualisation, soulignant son intention de recontextualisation. Il interroge la realité du spectateur en le réintégrant dans sa quotidianité. L’artiste italo-suisse transmet, avec sa production, une forte sensation de déjà-vu. S’armant de n’importe quel produit de la société contemporaine, il joue a représenter le réel avec cinisme et auto-dérision. Il utilise les divers media e les fait dialoguer pour ce qu’ils sont et transportent. Avec ses conpositions, il réalise un copier/coller post-produit. Une ballade dans la propre banalité. Constantin effectue un portrait non-spectaculaire, une phtographie dela realité commune.

Un lavoro di Christophe Constantin è un rovesciamento concettuale, tende a superare l’idea di ready-made novecentesco. Distrugge con molta ironia il principio di decontestualizzazione, ponendo l’accento sul tentativo di ricontestualizzatine. Ossia interrogando la realtà dello spettatore riportandolo nella sua quotidianità. L’artista italo-svizzero trasmette, con la sua produzione, una forte impressione di déjà-vu. Armandosi di qualsiasi prodotto della società contemporanea, gioca a rappresentare il reale con cinismo e auto-derisione. Usa i vari media e li fa dialogare su quello che sono e trasportano. Tutto ciò crea un copia/incolla post-prodotto. Una passeggiata nella propria banalità. Constantin raffigura la non-spettacolarizzazione, rappresentando la realtà comune.

Christophe Constantin was born in Switzerland in Montreux (VD), after having attended the art school, he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in 2013 at the ECAV of Sierra in the canton of Valese. He moved to Rome where, at RUFA, he specialized in sculpture in March 2016. During his stay in Rome he exhibited in various spaces of the Italian capital as Spazio Menexa, Pastificio Cerere with personal exhibitions and in various others such as Nuova Pesa and the Mario Iannelli Gallery, in collective.
In January 2016 he founded Spazio InSitu, an artist run’space in the suburbs of Rome, where he held the role of Artistic Director. In 2017 he presents in this space his personal entitled “BOH? !!”, this exhibition marks a reversal in his production, which founds the basis of his current production. Outside Italy, he exhibited in Barcelona with a personal “Spending time in Barcelona” in 2016, presented in the Espronceda art center, after a 2-month residency. In France, he exhibited in Paris at ChezKit (2017) and Orléans during Living cube, two collective suits curated by Elodie Bernard. In October 2018 presents “Petite Annonce” in the collective DotLand # 2 in Berlin, instead in October of the same year, he exhibited in Switzerland to GPS, Manoir of the city of Martigny with a personal entitled “Through the white canvas” edited by Anne Jean- Richard.
In May 2018, a collaboration with the Roman artist Marco De Rosa begins, together they realize their first two-sided “Door and Window” at Spazio In Situ.

Christophe Constantin est né à Montreux en Suisse romande, après avoir suivit un diplôme de culture générale en option artistique, il obtient son Bachelor of Arts en 2013 à l’ECAV dans le canton du Valais. Il déménage à Rome où, à la RUFA, il se spécialise en sculpture, en mars 2016. Durant son séjour romain, il expose dans divers espace de la capitale italienne comme Spazio Menexa, Pastifico Cerere, Galleria Mario Iannelli et La nuova Pesa, dans diverses personnelles et collectives.
EN janvier 2016 il fonde Spazio In Situ, un artist run’space dans la périphérie de Rome, au sein duquel il tient le rôle de directeur artistique. En 2017 il présente dans cette espace “Boh?!!” un solo show qui trace un retournement dans sa production, celle exposition instaure les base de son actuelle création. Au niveau international, il est invité à effectuer une résidence à Barcelone dans le centre d’art Espronceda, s’achevant par une exposition personnelle “Spending Time in Barcelona” (2016), en 2017 il est présent dans deux collectives en France, une à Paris (“o fresh” ChezKit) et à Orléans ( Living Cube), toutes deux curer par Elodie Bernard. En octobre 2018 il présente “Petite Annonce” dans la collective DotLand#2 à Berlin. En Novembre il expose aussi dans l’Espace GPS, au manoir de la ville de Martigny avec un solo show intitulé “A travers la toile Blanche”, sous la curatelle de Anne Jean-Richard.
En mai de la même année, il commence une colaboration avec l’artiste romain Marco De Rosa, ensemble il expose dans la bipersonnelle “Porte et Fenêtre” à Spazio In Situ.

Christophe Constantin nasce in Svizzera à Montreux (VD), dopo aver seguito il liceo artistico, ottiene un Bachelor of Arts nel 2013 à l’ECAV di Sierra nel cantone del Valese. Si traferisce a Roma dove, alla RUFA, si specializza in scultura in marzo del 2016. Durante il suo soggiorno romano espone in vari spazi della capitale italiana come Spazio Menexa, il Pastificio Cerere con delle mostre personali e in vari altri tale la Nuova Pesa e la Galleria Mario Iannelli, in collettive.
Nel gennaio del 2016 fonda Spazio InSitu, un artist run’space nella periferia di Roma, dove tiene il ruolo di Direttore Artistico. Nel 2017 presenta in questo spazio una sua personale intitolata “BOH?!!”, questa mostra segna un rovesciamento nella sua produzione, che fonda le basi della sua produzione attuale. Fuori Italia, espone a Barcellona con una personale “Spending time in Barcelona” nel 2016, presentata nel centro d’arte Espronceda, dopo una residenza di 2 mesi. In Francia espone a Parigi da ChezKit (2017) e Orléans durante Living cube tute due collettive curate da Elodie Bernard. Nel ottobre 2018 presenta “Petite Annonce” nella colletiva DotLand#2 a Berlino, invece in ottobre dello stesso anno, espone in Svizzera a GPS, Manoir della città di Martigny con una personale intitolata “ A traverso la tela Bianca” curata da Anne Jean-Richard.
In Maggio del 2018, comincia una collaborazione con l’artista romano Marco De Rosa, insieme realizzano la loro prima bipersonale “Porta e Finestra” a Spazio In Situ.
